27.11.2020 Prof. Fabiana Arduini (University Tor Vergata, Rome, Italy) was invited to give a talk about Electrochemical Paper-based (Bio)Sensors

23.10.2020 I am glad to announce that I have been awarded by a VR (Vetenskraprradet) project in the frame of VolThinSens in order to expand the research line regarding monolayer-based sensors. *300.000EUR*
06.09.2020 Announcement of the ERC StG at the VR.se

14 researchers in Sweden receive ERC Starting grant. Now it is clear who gets the ERC Starting grant. In total, 408 researchers can share more than SEK 6 billion to develop their research and build their own teams. 14 of them have a Swedish host institution.
05.09.2020 It is finally official...I get an ERC Starting Grant...I cannot be happier!!!

KTH.se: Prestigious grants to young researchers. Two young researchers at KTH, Maria Cuartero and Outi Tammisola, have been awarded the prestigious Starting Grant grant from the European Research Council, ERC. Maria Cuartero, a researcher in applied physical chemistry, has received SEK 17 million for a project to investigate and develop ion detection. The aim is to develop a new type of sensors that are used in areas such as drug analysis, cell therapy and water monitoring. Outi Tammisola receives 16 million for a project in flow mechanics. The purpose is to increase the understanding of complex flows through analysis and simulations. With increased knowledge, research can benefit from the food industry, 3D printing and through improved predictions in natural disasters, such as landslides as a result of climate change.
